Head Start Director Schedule:
August-May Full-time. Varying summer hours June and July depending on workload. Hours of work : Full Day Mon-Thursday 8-4pm Fridays will be for classroom planning, trainings, and home visit days. A calendar is provided with some Fridays being non workdays.
Employee Benefits and Wage:
$29.06 starting- 5% increase after 90 days with performance review. Generous 403(b) 5% company contribution with no match necessary after 90 days of employment. Purpose of Position:
To oversee the education component of the Head Start program ensuring classrooms are following policies, procedures, and the Head Start Performance Standards Site supervisor at one Head Start location, overseeing 5 teaching teams and classrooms. 4 classrooms are onsite, and one classroom is offsite. Will ensure that classrooms follow all SENDCAA and Head Start program policies and procedures and have a working knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards. Works as a team member with the Head Start Management Team, assisting with self-assessment, grant goals, and overall program improvement. Monitors and ensures the use of developmentally appropriate practices, materials, equipment, and environment. Provides regular visits and supports in the classrooms to monitor the environment, curriculum, assessments, and behavior support plans. Tracks data for Behavior Support plans and will assist in the classrooms as needed when challenging child behaviors occur. Provides coaching for teachers in teaching, learning, and collaborating groups. Organizes and leads training sessions regarding program policies, procedures, and curriculums. Ensures overall site safety regarding maintenance, drills, and active supervision. Conducts CLASS observations throughout the entire program. To be considered for this position, you must acquire one of the following below. A Baccalaureate or advanced degree in Early Childhood Education A Baccalaureate or advanced degree in a field related to Early Childhood Education, with experience teaching preschool children 1-year experience teaching in an early childhood environment and supervising teachers Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices in early childhood education

$50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
