Aug 5, 2026 Job Description The Accessible Educational Materials (AEM) Specialist supports students with disabilities by ensuring access to and effective use of accessible educational materials as part of their educational program. This position is open to special education teachers with experience in Life Skills. The candidate is responsible for evaluating student needs; recommending, selecting, acquiring, customizing, and maintaining accessible educational materials; and providing ongoing training and technical assistance to students, staff, and families. The AEM Specialist collaborates with IEP teams, related service providers, teachers, and administrators to support student access, participation, and progress across educational environments. Responsibilities may include supporting assistive technology trials, monitoring effectiveness, assisting with data collection to inform instructional and IEP decisions, and ensuring assistive technology is integrated meaningfully into classroom instruction and daily routines. This position is subject to a veterans preference. Certificated Professional Agreement
