We have a full-time Program Coordinator position available.
The primary qualifications are:
BA in Early Childhood Education or related field NYS Teaching Certification (can be in process) Experience working in an early childhood setting a plus! Responsibilities
  • Assist the Program Director with overall center functions
  • Ensure the implementation of engaging lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
  • Review classroom activities and ensure a safe learning environment for young students.
  • Utilize effective communication skills to interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Develop and adapt curriculum to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to provide individualized support and feedback.
  • Collaborate with other educators to enhance teaching strategies and student outcomes.
Skills & Knowledge Be warm and loving with a positive attitude and appreciation of children Must be flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the program Ability to organize and reflect teaching goals and progress in documentation: lesson plans, assessments and evaluations. Ability to attend to daily tasks as an educator Maintain partnerships with families, center and Amherst Central School District. Teachers must be able to pass 3 state required background checks, be able to walk around neighborhood/lift up to 40 pounds, have a TB test done within the past year and have a medical form completed by a medical professional. '
