Part-Time, Temporary (Summer Only) This a grant-funded position. Grant-funded positions expire either at the end of the stated term or whenever funding for the position ceases. Mohawk Valley Community College provides accessible, high-quality educational opportunities to meet the diverse needs of our students. The College is looking for exceptional colleagues to join the MVCC community. We are currently seeking a part-time Upward Bound Science Academic Content Specialist in our College Pipeline Programs department. This position will provide instruction as part of MVCC's Upward Bound 6-Week Summer College Program, held from July through August. The program serves participants in grades 9-12 who attend high school during the regular academic year. Key responsibilities for this position include: Develops a curriculum that is age appropriate, as well as aligned with NYS learning standards, that is age appropriate for grades 9-12; Teaches the classroom instruction based on the curriculum developed; Assists with lunch supervision in the College's cafeteria; Performs other duties as assigned by the Program Coordinator.
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday between 8:30am - 4:30pm Hours per week: up to 29

Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in a content related field
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree and NYS Teacher certification
