Your expertise in special education and childhood development will empower you to design and implement tailored interventions that enhance academic success and personal growth. You will collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to ensure every child receives the guidance they need to thrive. What you'll do Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that cater to the unique needs of students. Collaborate with teachers to create engaging lesson plans that incorporate effective instructional design and learning technology. Utilize your knowledge of curriculum development to enhance literacy and math education across various grade levels. Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement strategies and conflict management techniques. Provide tutoring support and academic advising to students, helping them navigate challenges and achieve their goals. Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary. Facilitate communication between parents, teachers, and support staff to ensure a cohesive approach to student development. Engage in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in special education and early childhood education. Experience A bachelor's degree in education is required. An active intervention specialist licensure is required. Proven experience working with children, particularly those with disabilities or special needs. Experience with students with behaviors is preferred. Strong background in classroom management and teaching methodologies. Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and educational technology tools. Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and instructional design is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with students, families, and colleagues. Experience in private school settings is a plus. Ability to demonstrate empathy, patience, and adaptability when working with diverse learners.
