KETTERING CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT GENERAL INFORMATION
: The person in this position will coordinate special education and related programs.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES, Partial List :
Coordinate and supervise special education services for students with disabilities. Work collaboratively with parents, staff, and principals to plan and execute academic and behavioral interventions for students. Plan and coordinate the scheduling of IEP and ETR meetings throughout the school year to be held by mandated timelines. Assist teachers in the development and coordination of specially designed instruction and services for students with disabilities. Participate with building teams to design and implement RTI services within the school building. Provide training to special education staff regarding topics related to curriculum, behavioral interventions, transition services and updates on state and federal rules and regulations. Work collaboratively with outside agencies and school districts. Assist the building administrators and staff in the planning and implementation of statewide testing, including alternate assessments.
QUALIFICATIONS, Partial List :
Knowledge of federal & state regulations and requirements. Valid Ohio supervision or administrative specialist or principalship license. Must pass criminal background checks and pre-employment drug screening. Collaboration and problem-solving skills.
SALARY :
According to approved administrative salary schedule.
