Hospice & Palliative Care, Home of The Pickering House is searching an Education & QAPI Coordinator to support the coordination and execution of quality improvement and educational activities across the organization. This role is ideal for a licensed Registered Nurse with strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and a commitment to advancing staff education, regulatory readiness, and compassionate hospice care. We believe in a professional team approach. The Education & QAPI Coordinator will work closely with leadership and interdisciplinary teams to support staff education, competency development, regulatory readiness, documentation standards, and ongoing quality initiatives. Develop, coordinate, and deliver staff education, orientation, in-service programs, annual education requirements, and competency evaluations across clinical disciplines. Serve as a clinical education resource for electronic medical record systems, documentation standards, patient visit processes, and electronic platform access for new employees. Support regulatory readiness by assisting with employee education files, compliance audits, required screenings, vaccinations, FIT testing, and adherence to internal and external standards. Coordinate educational activities for staff, volunteers, students, hospice-contracted facilities, and community programs, including shadowing and precepting experiences. Lead and support organizational education initiatives, including the Education Committee, continuing education processes, Staff Education Day, and employee recognition programs. Support the development of organizational goals, policies, and procedures, including recommendations and administration. Remain HIPAA compliant at all times. Qualifications Is currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio. Is a graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. Has three to five years of clinical nursing experience. One to two years in a health care setting with preference of hospice and palliative care. Understand the philosophy of Palliative Care and Hospice concept with emphasis on understanding the needs of the terminally ill. Ability manage time efficiently and analyze and implement proper action is essential. Demonstrate great communication and social interaction skills, as well as a compassionate individual. Proficient computer skills required in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Must have a valid driver's license, good driving record, and auto accident insurance at a level acceptable to FAIRHOPE and FAIRHOPE's insurer.
Physical Setting:
In-office environment and various healthcare settings. Some driving may be required.
Work Location:
Service area coverage throughout Fairfield, Hocking, Perry and surrounding counties. Main office location is located in Lancaster, Ohio.
