Intervention Specialist Saint Joseph Parish & School Sylvania, OH Job Details Contract $40,000 - $50,000 a year 23 hours ago Qualifications Teaching Certification Master's degree Bachelor's degree Academic interventions Full Job Description Job Overview Saint Joseph Parish School is seeking a caring and dedicated K-4 Intervention Specialist to support students in achieving academic success. The Intervention Specialist will work collaboratively with classroom teachers, parents, and support staff to provide targeted instruction, implement accommodations and intervention plans, and monitor student progress in reading, math, and other academic areas. Candidates should possess strong communication skills, knowledge of differentiated instruction and intervention strategies, and a passion for helping elementary students grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Appropriate licensure/certification is required. Responsibilities Design and execute individualized intervention plans aligned with each student's ISP to promote developmental progress across cognitive, social, emotional, and physical domains Deliver evidence-based therapies such as applied behavior analysis (ABA), speech therapy, behavioral health interventions, and recreational therapy to enhance learning outcomes Develop engaging curriculum materials and lesson plans tailored to diverse learning styles, including literacy education, math instruction, early childhood education, and preschool activities Monitor student progress through assessments, standardized testing, and ongoing observations; adjust strategies accordingly for optimal results Manage classroom environments effectively by implementing behavior management techniques and classroom management best practices Provide mentorship and training to staff or interns on specialized instructional methods or behavioral health strategies Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in special education, child development, psychology or related field; Master's degree preferred Intervention Specialist License Strong knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and instructional design tailored for special education needs Familiarity with ISP development and implementation Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including teachers, therapists, families, and caregivers Ability to manage classroom environments confidently while maintaining a positive learning atmosphere
Pay:
$40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
