Job Description
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in English, Education, Communications, Journalism, or a related field required Master's degree completed or in progress preferred Proven experience teaching academic writing, college admissions essays, and English language arts to high school and university students Strong expertise in personal statements, supplemental essays, scholarship essays, and application writing Advanced understanding of narrative, analytical, argumentative, and research based writing Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated ability to provide detailed, actionable feedback that strengthens student writing and critical thinking Strong instructional planning and student engagement skills in both individual and group settings Proficiency with online teaching platforms and digital learning tools Ability to adapt instruction to diverse learning needs, academic goals, and writing levels Highly organized with strong attention to detail, time management, and follow through Collaborative professional who works effectively with program directors, counselors, and instructional staff Willingness to discuss student progress, contribute to program development, and support department initiatives Receptive to feedback, reflective in practice, and committed to instructional excellence Professional, dependable, and student focused approach to teaching and mentorship Additional Duty Partner with the Director of Programs and instructional team to review student progress, align instructional goals, and contribute to ongoing program improvement initiatives
