04/06/2026 POSTING #: 3492 The Sauk Rapids-Rice Public School District No. 47 is seeking a dynamic Grades 9-12 Instructional Coach & Interventionist to strengthen academic instruction and improve student outcomes at the high school level. This hybrid role combines instructional coaching with targeted student intervention, ensuring both strong Tier 1 instruction and effective Tier 2/3 supports. The position emphasizes instructional practices, using evidence-based strategies to guide coaching, professional learning, and classroom implementation. A central priority is ensuring alignment between curriculum, instruction, and Minnesota academic standards, while providing the targeted support students need to succeed in rigorous, grade-level coursework. Primary Responsibilities:
  • Coach for instructional excellence
  • Provide job-embedded coaching (co-plan, model, observe, and provide feedback)
  • Support teachers in implementing:
  • Clear learning goals and success criteria aligned to standards
  • Evidence-based academic instruction across content areas
  • Student discourse, writing from sources, and critical thinking
  • Ongoing monitoring of student learning
  • Support consistent instructional practices across Grades 9-12
  • Support the onboarding and mentoring of new teachers in our school district
  • Intervention (direct student support)
  • Provide targeted interventions for students requiring additional support
  • Collaborate with teachers to align intervention with core instruction
  • Curriculum & standards alignment
  • Ensure academic instruction is tightly aligned to Minnesota standards
  • Support teachers in:
  • Maintaining rigor and coherence across courses
  • Promote a guaranteed and viable curriculum across the district
  • Use data to drive instruction
  • Use multiple data sources (screeners, diagnostics, classroom and state assessments)
  • Professional learning & collaboration
  • Design and facilitate professional learning aligned to district priorities
  • Collaborate with teachers, instructional coaches, interventionists, and administrators
  • Support implementation of MnMTSS with a strong Tier 1 foundation Outstanding candidates will have:
  • Knowledgeable in variety of research-based interventions & instructional practices
  • Knowledgeable in effective MTSS practices
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and facilitation skills
  • Thoughtful and deliberate decision-makers

Required Qualifications:
  • Valid Minnesota teaching license or relevant experience and willingness to seek a license with special permission from PELSB
  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant subject area
  • Minimum 5-years of successful teaching experience
  • Strong knowledge of adolescent literacy and evidence-based practices
  • Deep understanding of standards alignment and rigorous instruction
Preferred Qualifications:
  •  Experience with intervention and/or instructional coaching
  • Experience teaching high school students
Contract:
1.0 FTE, 182 contract days plus 5 extra days for a total of 187 days beginning the 2026-2027 school year.
Salary and Benefits:
Salary based on the 2025-2027 Sauk Rapids-Rice Education Associations Master Agreement starting at $52,166 up to $97,326. Benefits based on full-time employment and may be pro-rated for part-time positions.
