The Toro Company:
This position will design, build, and deploy engaging learning solutions that improve product knowledge, technical service skills, and sales effectiveness across Toro internal and external channel partners. Leads medium-complexity projects end-to-end—from needs analysis and learning objective definition to content development/translation, QA, launch, and post-release improvement. The role collaborates with multiple Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and stakeholders across divisions and geographies. An important part of this role is the management of the localization and translation process of international training materials. This position also contributes expertise to an evolving learning ecosystem—including the LMS and knowledge management systems (KMS)—to deliver engaging, interactive channel training that supports international business growth, customer satisfaction, and loyalty. What Will You Do? Analysis & Planning Develop and manage project plans and communicate scope, timelines, resources, instructional goals, milestones, and constraints; manage risks/assumptions and keep stakeholders aligned. Partner with SMEs (e.g., TAC, Product Managers, Engineering) to define business outcomes, learner needs, and measurable objectives; propose the right modality mix (eLearning, VILT/ILT, video, performance support). Design & Development Apply sound instructional design and adult-learning methods (e.g., ADDIE/SAM, Gagné) while developing objectives, scripts, scenarios, and assessments (knowledge checks, practicals) aligned to objectives and job tasks. Utilize authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Rise 360) to create and update online, ILT/VILT, and blended learning assets; ensure accessibility, relevance, and brand alignment. Manage the translation and localization process for courses and materials; prepare source files for translation, coordinate language needs, and perform post-translation quality checks. Administer training content in the Learning Management System (LMS)—including content publishing/configuration, user assignments, notifications, basic troubleshooting, and support of analytical reporting. Quality, Data, & Improvement Establish QA checklists; conduct peer and SME reviews; remediate defects prior to release. Monitor LMS/LRS adoption/impact (completions, quiz scores, feedback). Use data and stakeholder input to iterate content; retire or consolidate outdated assets. Collaboration & Communication Keep manager and team informed of progress, risks, and key decisions; coordinate plans and activities to ensure a cohesive, team-based approach. Manage multiple large projects simultaneously through end-to-end development within deadlines and quality standards. Seek input from cross-functional stakeholders on changing business requirements and translate needs into effective learning interventions and performance support. Facilitate design reviews; present drafts and prototypes to secure timely decisions. Support in-person training events facilitator guides, activities, and job aids as needed. Portfolio Contribution Maintain and improve shared templates, interaction libraries, and style guides to increase team speed and consistency. Stay current with industry trends, adult learning theory, and best practices in instructional design.Note:
