Position Overview Trimble's Learning and Development team empowers users to unlock the full potential of their Trimble products. Our learning experiences are strategically created to reduce churn, enhance user proficiency, and promote the Connect & Scale vision. We are seeking a personable and enthusiastic Technical Trainer to join our team. The ideal candidate should be a proactive learner who possesses a strong background in instructor-led training and adult learning principles. In this role, you will deliver effective product training to Trimble customers in-person and remotely. You will collaborate with subject matter experts, product owners, and Instructional Designers to architect high-quality learning programs that align with Trimble's strategic goals. You will serve as a content authority to answer customer questions during training. You will also help manage virtual courses in our LMS. This role requires occasional domestic and international travel. Responsibilities Master assigned Trimble products by collaborating with experts, utilizing on-demand training, and developing deep technical proficiency through hands-on use. Develop and execute accredited or certified curriculum for Trimble products that are aligned with the learning needs and business strategy provided by the Director. Partner with Instructional Designers to develop course materials that align with Trimble's brand standards, team templates, and department style guidelines and have a consistent visual and structural approach. Deliver learning programs, both virtual and onsite. Use Trimble's learning management system (LMS) and other integrated platforms to administer learning (e.g. load course content, enroll learners, manage simulated training or virtual lab environments, report course metrics). Utilize instructional strategies set by the team that cater to different learning styles and preferences Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project timelines Communicate progress, challenges, and recommendations to project teams and leadership. Keep project progress up to date in team-sanctioned tracking tools. Collect and analyze feedback from stakeholders and customers to continuously improve course offerings. Build knowledge of the transportation industry as well as Trimble's products, solutions, processes, and customers. Required Competencies Proven experience in instructor-led training and curriculum development Proficiency with learning management systems or virtual lab environments Demonstrated agility in mastering complex software ecosystems through hands-on, independent experimentation Strong attention to detail Excellent communication skills to collaborate with and educate a variety of roles (e.g. IT, operations, end-users) Strong relationship building skills to foster customer trust Ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities, schedule and meet deadlines, and take initiative to accomplish tasks with minimal supervision in complex situations Strong time management, research, and problem-solving capabilities Preferences Background in the transportation industry Background in Trimble products Experience with instructional design software, e-learning authoring tools, and multimedia editing tools (Camtasia, Articulate 360, Adobe Suite)
