Albuquerque, New Mexico Position Objective The Training Operations & Learning Experience Specialist is responsible for designing and delivering engaging, scalable learning experiences across retail and cultivation teams, with a primary focus on New Mexico retail operations and cultivation operations across both Colorado and New Mexico. This role mirrors the retail learning experience function while incorporating additional ownership of cultivation training, compliance alignment, and multi-state operational consistency. The position ensures training is engaging, accurate, and operationally effective, supporting frontline retail execution in New Mexico and cultivation environments across both states. Essential Functions Onboarding & Learning Experience (30%) Support the design and coordination of a structured onboarding experience for both retail and cultivation roles Assist in ensuring onboarding is consistent, engaging, and aligned to operational readiness across environments Partner with the CO Retail Specialist to maintain consistency in onboarding frameworks Track onboarding completion and share feedback to support continuous improvement LMS Ownership & Learning Experience (25%) Support LMS administration for assigned functions including learning paths, role-based curricula, and automated assignments Assist in maintaining a seamless and engaging learner experience across retail and cultivation teams Pull and organize completion, engagement, and performance data to support reporting efforts Gamification & Engagement Strategy (15%) Support the implementation of gamification strategies to drive engagement across retail and cultivation teams Assist in adapting engagement approaches to different environments including store and cultivation settings Monitor learner participation and completion rates and share observations to inform improvements Content Development & Operational Enablement (15%) Support the development of training content including microlearning modules, SOP-based guides, and operational and compliance training Assist in translating retail and cultivation processes into clear, actionable content Help maintain consistency and version control across training materials Compliance & Cultivation Integration (10%) Support compliance training efforts by ensuring materials reflect state-specific regulatory requirements for New Mexico and Colorado Partner with Compliance to incorporate regulatory updates into existing training materials Assist with cultivation-specific training needs to ensure accuracy and applicability Reporting & Continuous Improvement (5%) Compile and organize training data to help identify gaps in engagement, completion, and effectiveness Support cross-functional partners by providing learning data and observations to inform strategy Key Competencies Learning Experience Design Creates engaging, user-centered learning experiences that drive adoption and retention Moves beyond static content to interactive, modern formats Digital & Systems Fluency Effectively leverages LMS platforms and learning technologies Builds scalable systems that support training delivery and tracking Gamification & Engagement Mindset Applies gamification principles to increase participation, completion, and motivation Thinks creatively about how to drive learner engagement Operational Rigor & Detail Orientation Ensures accuracy, compliance, and consistency across all training materials and systems Maintains strong version control and documentation Content Translation Simplifies complex information into clear, actionable, and digestible content Designs materials that are practical and easy to apply in the field Execution & Reliability Delivers high-quality work consistently and on time Manages multiple priorities without sacrificing quality Continuous Improvement Uses data and feedback to refine content, systems, and learning experiences Proactively identifies gaps and opportunities Please note that the percentage allocations are a general estimate and may vary based on business needs and priorities. Education and Experience Must be at least 21 years of age in accordance with state cannabis regulations. Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Learning & Development, Communications, Business, or related field preferred 3-5 years of experience in training operations, LMS administration, instructional design, or learning experience design Experience supporting retail, operations, or cultivation environments preferred Experience working with LMS platforms (implementation, administration, reporting) required Experience developing digital and interactive learning content preferred Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered Strong content creation skills (PowerPoint, Canva, microlearning tools) Understanding of modern learning principles (microlearning, blended learning, adult learning theory) Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret training data and engagement metrics High attention to detail with strong organizational discipline Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Working Conditions (Schedule, Environment, Travel) This position follows a hybrid schedule, with an on-site presence of approximately three days per week and up to two remote days, based on business needs. Requires scheduling flexibility, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on operational needs. Occasional travel may be required for store visits, cross-functional collaboration, or market support. Must have reliable transportation.
