Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the implementation of the HMH (literacy), UFLI (foundational literacy), and Bluebonnet (math) curriculums Lead and oversee curricular instructional goal-setting and long-term planning Directly manage and coach kindergarten through first-grade teachers to deliver quality instruction Collaborate with teachers to internalize lesson plans and instructional materials Coach teachers to develop clear and consistent instructional classroom expectations, routines, and methods through the observation feedback cycle Observe and model components within the curriculum Plan and lead weekly planning and individual coaching meetings teachers Monitor completion rates of essential formative assessments Prep assessment materials for teachers Analyze data to inform instructional practices and provide targeted support to students Monitor student progress toward benchmark goals Create and facilitate professional development based on observed trends and best practices Attend and support school-wide events Support teachers in providing family resources and homework aligned with classroom instruction Collaborate with the campus instructional leadership team to discuss trends and alignment across grade levels Support in ordering and disseminating materials Exemplify, model, and hold all teachers accountable to the pillars of our staff culture rubric Support scholar culture, cultivate positive relationships, and model restorative practices
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree A minimum of three years of teaching experience Track record of academic success Strong ability to build relationships with teachers, scholars, and families
Additional Considerations:
Masters Degree Experience coaching or knowledge of T-TESS and the Get Better Faster Framework Experience leading a team and coaching others in academic and behavioral best practices Experience in leading and creating professional development
Knowledge and Skills:
Deep-seated belief in the mission and vision of Austin Achieve Be willing to do "whatever it takes" to ensure all scholars learn Hold all scholars to the highest expectations to ensure upper elementary readiness Ability to use data to inform instructional practices Excellent classroom management and teaching skills
