Under the supervision of the campus principal, provides direct support to teachers, campus and district staff in implementing research-based instructional practices and promotes positive change and commitment for engaged learning environments leading to improved student performance. Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, Master's degree preferred Valid teaching certificate 3-5 years teaching experience Proficiency with Google Suite and student data systems Required skills: Experience in school leadership Deep knowledge of and experience in: 1) instructional strategies 2) conditions of learning and 3) assessment-driven instruction (teaching/learning process) Demonstrated interest and engagement in professional learning and reflection Demonstrated ability to design and deliver professional development to small groups and large groups Ability to build positive rapport and strong cross-department/cross-program relationships Ability to work collaboratively and independently Outstanding presentation and facilitation skills Demonstrated strength in organization, communication skills and efficiency in meeting deadlines Desire to continue career improvement Demonstrated skills that reflect urgency and purpose to drive student outcomes Familiarity with State of Texas testing and accountability Professional Responsibilities and Duties:
Develop and maintain a high level of knowledge and organizational skills related to: Marzano's High Reliability Schools Framework (HRS) DuFour's Professional Learning Communities model (PLC) The New Art & Science of Teaching (NASOT) Guide teachers in curriculum development, lesson design, instructional strategies, assessment, classroom management aligned with NASOT Lead effective implementation of Tier 1 Focus Four Elements:
Student Interaction, Formal Assessment, Processing Content, Rules & Procedures Coordinate and lead teacher mentor and induction program Collaborate and maintain close communication with administrators and other school leaders to ensure alignment of practice and understanding Attend and synthesize learning from workshops and conferences aligned with professional expectations (may require travel) Develop effective schedule and plans to visit and support teachers' effective implementation of the Focus Four Elements Guide, in collaboration with the Data Fellow individual teacher analysis of student data Collaborate with administrators to investigate trends and to support Tier 1 and Tier 2 instructional decisions Develop, in collaboration with campus administrators, a of year-long campus professional development plan that is aligned with program goals and individualized professional needs Coordinate, in collaboration with campus PLC Lead quarterly instructional rounds aligned with common professional learning goals Collaborate with Campus Team in implementation of the Marzano High Reliability School framework, including participation in the PLC processes, goal-setting, data collection and analysis Provide input in the initial steps of building the master schedule as it supports the school vision of data-driven decisions and alignment with the HRS Framework and professional growth Professional Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and board policy Comply with all district and campus routines, regulations, and policies Adhere to ethical standards and model behavior that is professional and responsible. Participate in approved professional development to improve skills related to job assignment.
