Prevention Education Specialist

Job Description:

Conducts prevention education/skills training strategy by implementing the assigned curriculum at designated school sites and/or community sites as indicated by the curriculum developers. Provide problem identification and referrals to other support services to youth participating in curriculum services. Conducts information dissemination strategy by implementing engaging presentations with youth and adults, while increasing knowledge and changing attitudes through communications. Conducts positive alternatives in the form of fun, challenging, and structured activities to foster constructive and healthy ways to enjoy free time and learn skills among community of service.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in psychology/Sociology or equivalent. Ability to speak effectively before groups of participants/professionals in English and Spanish. Some travel required within service area and must have current TX driver's license with current liability insurance
