July 15 Great Expectations (GE) is seeking a passionate and experienced Instructional Coach to support educators and school leaders in implementing the GE philosophy and instructional practices with fidelity. This role is focused on improving instructional effectiveness, strengthening school culture, and increasing student achievement. The ideal candidate is a collaborative educational leader who is passionate about developing teachers, supporting schools, and creating meaningful learning experiences for students. Position Purpose The GE Instructional Coach serves as a mentor, facilitator, trainer, and partner to educators and administrators. Through coaching, professional learning, and collaboration, this role helps schools create engaging, high-performing learning environments aligned with Great Expectations practices. Essential Responsibilities Instructional Coaching Support teachers through coaching cycles, classroom observations, modeling, and feedback Promote research-based instructional strategies and student engagement practices Support implementation of the Eight Expectations for Living and Life Principles Utilize instructional technology and digital learning tools to enhance teaching and learning Professional Learning Plan and facilitate engaging professional development sessions for teachers and administrators Serve as lead contact and coordinator for Summer Institute and regional training events Provide ongoing follow-up support to schools and districts Adapt coaching and support based on school and district needs Collaboration & Leadership Collaborate with the GE leadership team to strengthen services and improve outcomes Support campus leaders with instructional improvement and school culture initiatives Build strong, positive relationships with educators, leaders, and school communities Representation & Outreach Represent Great Expectations at conferences, workshops, and exhibitor events Support outreach efforts with prospective schools and districts Coordinate appreciation events and learning opportunities within school communities Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred Valid teaching certification required Minimum of 5 years of successful teaching experience Experience in instructional coaching, leadership, or professional development preferred Knowledge of Great Expectations practices preferred Preferred Characteristics The ideal candidate is: ✔ Student-centered and relationship-driven ✔ Collaborative, reflective, and growth-oriented ✔ Skilled in communication and professional facilitation ✔ Adaptable, organized, and professional ✔ Passionate about educator development and student success Impact of the Role The GE Instructional Coach empowers educators and school leaders to create engaging and effective learning environments that lead to meaningful student growth, achievement, and long-term success.
