Provides school-based leadership, planning, coaching, instruction, and instructional support to educators at assigned school to support student learning and student achievement through the integration of technology; collaborates with appropriate instructional and technical staff to assist, manage, and optimize the use of instructional technology resources to support quality teaching and learning.

Required Bachelor's degree. Two (2) years of experience in integrating technologies within the classroom. Advanced degree(s) beyond the minimum degree requirement in a relevant field may be considered for some experience. Professional educational license. Knowledge of curriculum, instructional methods, and student and adult learners. Knowledge of both web-based educational applications and software. Knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations. Ability to use and integrate technology as needed in the performance of all duties and responsibilities. Ability to develop, implement, and evaluate quality instruction and programs for students and school-based staff. Ability to coach and mentor. Ability to develop and deliver professional development. Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks, projects, and responsibilities. Ability to apply critical thinking skills to render solutions to various issues. Ability to perform basic technology troubleshooting. Ability to manage resources effectively. Ability to identify needs, create plans, and initiate actions independently. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Preferred Coursework in instructional technology, innovative learning practices, adult learning, and/or instructional design. Information Technology Major Duties/Essential Functions:

Provides leadership in developing and implementing goals and strategies for the integration of technology to support instruction and innovation. Uses research-based instructional best practices in the integration of classroom technology to coach and support teachers in creating learner-centered environments. Collaborates with, coaches, and plans with administration and instructional staff to use best practices, data, and high-impact instructional strategies for instruction, intervention, and enrichment. Teaches and co-teaches lessons integrating instructional best practices for blended learning. Assesses the instructional value of, promotes, and uses existing technologies to support teaching and learning. Works with school leadership to plan for, model, and promote digital citizenship and equitable access to technology for teachers and students. Uses research-based adult learning strategies to plan for and establish professional learning experiences for the school's instructional staff and administrators that support individual needs and professional growth in instructional technology integration and innovation. Creates and implements a personalized plan for professional learning that supports their own personal growth, knowledge, and expertise. Works with and supports school leadership in using approved communication and collaboration tools (such as website and social media platforms) to keep the school connected with local and global communities. Guides and supports instructional personnel in the management of classroom instructional technology. Works independently and collaboratively with colleagues within the local school and the larger FCPS educational technology community. Serves as a member of the school planning team, a member of the teacher leadership team, a consultant to the administrative team, and the site point-of-contact for instructional technology. May provide limited technology support as required by operational necessity. Furthers the implementation of the FCPS Learning Model and other instructional focuses in collaboration with other leaders. Leverages digital tools to streamline processes that support school efficiency and instruction. Furthers implementation of grading and reporting policies in collaboration with school leadership. Performs related duties as required or assigned.

This job operates in a school environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard classroom equipment such as computers, phones, printers, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines, and instructional technologies such as interactive white boards, ipads, laptops, document cameras, projectors, and others..
