Reports to:
Sr Director of Finance and Operations Summary:
Manage and educate the South Burlington School District community on district wide information and technology resources for teachers, students, and staff in an effort to maintain current best practices and procedures. Support the integration of teaching technologies across the District consistent with Vermont state-approved standards and curriculum
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Evaluates District Software by:
Determining what software is already part of the existing District catalogue
Researching and identifying new and emerging educational technology trends and resources
Evaluating any potential duplicate use software and systems and assisting IT team with consolidating appropriately
Fielding all requests for new educational software and technology used in classrooms including evaluation, purchasing, and deployment scope
Support District Software and technology solutions for teaching by:
Instructing teachers and support staff on utilizing SBSD software catalogue
Identify and maintain software and technology catalogue available to teachers and staff
Onboarding new employees with daily-use software and technology including, but not limited to, Support Ticket System, Employee Management Systems, and District communications software
Lead District AI initiatives by:
Instructing teachers and support staff on best practices and secure operation of AI platforms
Evaluating AI tools to find the best platforms fit for K-12 teaching and learning
Creating and maintaining district policies and acceptable use of AI tools for staff, teachers, and students
Assists in access management of software by:
Determining access levels of teachers and support staff within software platforms
Manage least privileged access model of all teaching and support software and systems
Assists with software testing and implementation by:
Facilitating any testing of new and existing software
Staying abreast of updates and changes with teaching software catalogue and ensuring their ongoing support
Assist Systems Administrator with identifying/implementing classroom technologies including but not limited to:
Building and deploying new software images for teachers and staff
Maintaining current certificates and licensure for District teaching software
Attend TLC days to answer questions about classroom technology and software
Serve on appropriate committees and teams associated with teaching and learning technologies
Performs other duties as assigned
General Responsibilities:
Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of students, staff, and teachers across the K-12 environment. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as this position requires consistent face-to-face and virtual interaction with all members of the South Burlington School District community

Education and Experience Requirements:
