Kiddie Academy of Tehaleh is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Curriculum Coordinator to lead and support curriculum implementation across all 11 classrooms in our academy. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on children, teachers, and families by ensuring high-quality educational experiences throughout our program. The ideal candidate is a strong educator, coach, and mentor who is committed to excellence in early childhood education and enjoys helping teachers grow professionally. Position Overview As the Curriculum Coordinator at Kiddie Academy of Tehaleh, you will play a key leadership role in overseeing curriculum implementation, teacher support, and educational quality throughout the academy. Your primary focus will be ensuring consistency and excellence in classroom instruction while fostering a positive and engaging learning environment for children and staff.
Key responsibilities include:
Curriculum Leadership and Implementation Monitor and support implementation of Kiddie Academy's Life Essentials® curriculum across all 11 classrooms. Ensure curriculum planning aligns with developmental best practices and company standards. Provide guidance and resources to teachers to support engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences. Maintain curriculum materials and resources throughout the academy. Teacher Coaching and Professional Development Observe classrooms regularly and provide constructive feedback to educators. Mentor, train, and support teaching staff in curriculum planning, classroom management, and instructional practices. Assist with onboarding and training of new teaching staff. Promote continuous professional growth and educational excellence among team members. Program Assessment and Quality Assurance Conduct classroom observations and curriculum audits to ensure program quality. Monitor lesson plans, classroom documentation, and child assessments. Support teachers in utilizing developmental assessments and documenting children's progress. Collaborate with leadership to identify opportunities for program improvement. Family Engagement Support teachers in communicating children's developmental progress and classroom activities with families. Promote positive relationships between families and the educational program. Assist with educational events, family engagement activities, and academy open houses. Leadership Support Serve as a member of the academy leadership team. Provide operational, administrative, and human resources support only when the Center Director is out of the building. Assist in maintaining compliance with all licensing regulations, company policies, and accreditation standards. As the Curriculum Coordinator, you will be a visionary educator and instructional leader dedicated to creating meaningful learning experiences for children while supporting teachers in reaching their full potential.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
3-5 years of experience teaching in a licensed childcare center. Associate's Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or a related field. Strong knowledge of Developmentally Appropriate Practice (DAP), child development, and curriculum implementation. Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and support educators. Dedicated to maintaining compliance with all federal and state laws, licensing regulations, and Kiddie Academy policies. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Planning and participating in academy activities, staff meetings, training sessions, and family events. Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and academy leadership. Experience mentoring, coaching, or leading teaching staff. Familiarity with Washington State licensing regulations and quality standards. Experience implementing curriculum across multiple classrooms and age groups.
Education & Licensing Requirements Required Education:
Full Washington State Early Childhood Education Certificate (47 ECE Credits) or equivalent OR will meet education requirements within five (5) years if not already completed and eligible under state guidelines.

Background Check Tuberculosis (TB) Test Licensing Orientation (if applicable)
