Job Description

The Elementary Instructional Coach supports student achievement and growth by partnering with teachers to enhance instructional practices, strengthen curriculum implementation and student mastery, and promote data-driven decision-making in an MTSS framework. This non-evaluative role focuses on job-embedded professional growth through cognitive coaching, collaboration, and modeling of research-based teaching strategies aligned to district goals and elementary learning standards. Responsibilities Collaborate with teachers to plan, model, co-teach, and reflect on effective instructional practices Support the implementation of district curriculum, instructional frameworks, and assessment systems Collaborate with teachers and teams to analyze student performance data and adjust instruction accordingly Provide support in differentiated instruction, classroom management, and student engagement strategies Assist teachers with instructional strategies that promote student engagement, critical thinking Provide coaching support in classroom management, student engagement, and instructional delivery in an elementary setting Stay current with research-based instructional strategies and best practices Maintain confidentiality and build trusting, professional relationships with staff
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree in Education Valid state teaching license appropriate for elementary (K-5) Minimum of 3-5 years of successful classroom teaching experience Demonstrated effectiveness in instructional practices and student achievement Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
Preferred:
Master's degree in Education, Curriculum & Instruction, or related field Prior experience as an instructional coach, teacher leader, or mentor Experience with data analysis, assessment systems, and instructional planning Knowledge of current instructional strategies, including differentiation and i-MTSS frameworks
Physical Demands:
Ability to move throughout the school building, including classrooms and meeting spaces Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time Occasional lifting of materials up to 25 pounds Frequent use of technology, including computers and interactive tools
Working Conditions:
