Job Description

Open Door Group (ODG), a mission driven non-profit organization serving communities across Canada, is looking for Workshop Facilitators to join our team!
Status:
Part-Time, Permanent Hours of Work:
28.8 Hours per week
Salary:
$30.00 to $31.00 per hour
Location :
The primary work location for this position will be in-person, at the Open Door Group office at 150-707 10th Avenue SW, Calgary.

March 19, 2026 The Workshop Facilitator delivers engaging, competency-based training to help clients develop the skills and confidence needed for employment and greater independence. This role designs, updates, and delivers curriculum, adapts instruction to diverse learner needs, and collaborates with colleagues to ensure consistent, high-quality workshop delivery. The Workshop Facilitator also evaluates client progress, manages workshop logistics, and keeps training aligned with current industry standards and best practices. The ideal candidate is a dynamic and adaptable facilitator with a passion for helping individuals build skills and confidence for employment and personal independence. They excel at engaging diverse learners through creative instructional methods, tailoring content to meet varied needs and overcoming barriers to learning. Highly organized and collaborative, they bring strong communication skills, a commitment to service quality, and the ability to manage both virtual and in-person learning environments. With a proactive approach to curriculum development and a dedication to continuous improvement, they ensure training is current, relevant, and impactful. What you bring to the position: Required Qualifications Diploma in social services, instruction, or facilitation. Two years recent, related experience providing instruction or group facilitation. Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training (can be acquired after hire) Or equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience. Facilitation, Curriculum & Technical Skills Skilled in facilitation, curriculum design, and adult learning principles. Ability to adapt content and delivery to diverse learner needs, ensuring accessibility and inclusion. Competent in managing group dynamics and creating positive learning environments. Proficient with MS Office, virtual platforms (Zoom, Teams), and maintaining accurate administrative records.
