Dance and Cheer Educator | After School Program N Zone Sports of America Corona, CA Job Details Part-time $27 - $30 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Youth fitness Teamwork Youth programs teaching experience High school diploma or GED Working with students Teaching Working with youth Full Job Description Dance/Cheer Head Coach N Zone Sports of America, the nation's premier youth sports organization, is seeking an experienced and passionate Dance/Cheer enthusiast who loves working with elementary and middle school-aged boys and girls. This after-school weekday multi-sport program includes dance & cheer. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to developing youth at various skill levels, fostering both individual improvement and teamwork. The coach responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Leading Skill Development Sessions:
Teach fundamental skills and techniques across various dance styles & cheer to students in grades TK-8, emphasizing individual improvement, teamwork while maintaining a high energy level. Communicate with
School Staff:
Maintain effective communication with school staff to ensure the program meets their needs and expectations. This includes reviewing student behavior, addressing scheduling issues, and soliciting feedback.
Supervise Students:
Ensure the safety and well-being of all students by maintaining a secure and supportive environment.
Motivate and Encourage:
Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere, motivating participants to achieve their best while promoting sportsmanship and teamwork.
Monitor Progress:
Track student development and provide constructive feedback to help them improve.
Enforce Rules:
Uphold program policies and sportsmanship standards, ensuring participants understand and adhere to rules.
Prepare Equipment:
Set up and break down sports equipment before and after sessions, ensuring all equipment is used safely and properly maintained.
Punctuality and Professional Appearance:
Show up on time for all sessions and events, dressed appropriately in sports attire that meets program standards.
Requirements:
Experience:
Personal competitive dance/cheer experience or prior coaching experience.
Leadership:
Experience working in a leadership role.
Child Interaction:
Experience working with school-aged children.
Communication Skills:
Strong verbal communication abilities.
Passion:
Deep passion for cheer/dance.
Professionalism:
Professional appearance and conduct.
Physical Fitness:
Ability to carry equipment and demonstrate fundamental skills, including cardio activities.
Job Type:
Part-time, hourly
Pay:
$30.00 per hour Expected hours: 5 hours per week
Grade Levels:
TK - 5th
Start Date:
Mid-August General Schedule (subject to change): 12:30 pm - 5:30 pm (start time may vary) 5 hours a day Fridays 1 day a week
Work Location:
Wildomar/Lake Elsinore All coaches must have a High School diploma, pass a basic academic competency exam, have a negative TB and pass a background check.
