This role is ideal for individuals who love working with children and have a background in dance, theater, or early childhood education. The instructor will be responsible for leading engaging dance classes, fostering a positive learning environment, and supporting students' creative development after school hours. The position offers an opportunity to inspire young learners through movement and artistic expression while promoting confidence and teamwork. Responsibilities Lead engaging and age-appropriate dance classes for children in an after-school setting Develop lesson plans that incorporate dance techniques, creativity, and fun activities Manage classroom behavior to ensure a safe and respectful environment Support students' individual needs, including those with special education requirements or behavioral challenges Foster a positive atmosphere that encourages participation, self-expression, and teamwork Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and school personnel regarding student progress and class activities Ensure the safety of all students by adhering to health and safety protocols, including basic first aid when necessary Incorporate elements of theater, movement, or other artistic disciplines to enhance the learning experience Requirements Prior experience working with children in educational, childcare, camp, tutoring, or extracurricular settings Knowledge of classroom management and behavior management strategies Experience with early childhood education or childhood development preferred Ability to teach dance techniques suitable for various age groups and skill levels Certification in first aid is highly desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not already certified Strong communication skills and the ability to foster a supportive environment for children of diverse backgrounds Passion for arts education, theater, sports coaching, or related fields is advantageous Reliable, responsible, and committed to creating a positive impact on students' growth and confidence
