Job Description

MOVE DANCE ACADEMY
is hiring dance instructors for our growing recreational and competitive programs! We are currently looking for experienced, well-rounded, studio-trained instructors who are passionate about teaching and creating a positive class experience for dancers of all ages and levels. Positions available for instructors comfortable teaching: Ages 2-5 Ages 6-17 Or both age groups Serious inquiries only. We are looking for instructors who: Have strong classroom management skills and can maintain structure, discipline, and age-appropriate classroom control Can appropriately handle and challenge different skill levels Create fun, engaging classes while still emphasizing proper technique, training, and structure Understand long-term dancer development Can provide innovative and strong choreography Are confident correcting technique and managing classes independently Value professionalism, positivity, teamwork, and consistency Are reliable and committed to attending recitals, rehearsals, competitions, and studio events Can maintain studio policies, dress code requirements, and classroom expectations Are interested in being part of a strong recreational and competitive training program Have a genuine passion for mentoring and developing young dancers Are comfortable teaching both recreational and competitive dancers with equal professionalism and care Can contribute positively to studio culture and work collaboratively with leadership Arrive prepared with lesson plans, music, and structured class content Can take feedback/corrections professionally and implement studio expectations Are seeking long-term growth within a positive, structured dance program Instructors should actively engage, educate, challenge, and inspire dancers while creating a positive learning environment. Experience with recital preparation, formations, spacing, classroom management, and performance quality is strongly preferred. Reliable attendance and professionalism are essential. Frequent call-outs, tardiness, or last-minute schedule changes will not be a fit for this position. Experience teaching in both recreational and competitive studio settings is preferred.
