Job Description

Job Summary Rosa Azul Events is seeking a passionate and energetic Dance Instructor specializing in Salsa and Bachata to help build and grow a dance program from the ground up. This role goes beyond traditional teaching—you'll play a key part in developing a weekday class schedule, building a loyal community, and expanding into weekend events, social dance nights, and private bookings. We're looking for someone who thrives in a creative, entrepreneurial environment and is excited to co-create a dance experience within a flexible, open studio space. Key Responsibilities Lead engaging Salsa and Bachata classes for beginner to intermediate levels Help build and shape a consistent weekday class schedule Assist in developing and hosting dance socials, themed nights, and ticketed events Provide clear instruction on technique, timing, partner work, and musicality Foster a fun, welcoming, and inclusive environment that encourages repeat attendance Support promotion efforts through social media, community outreach, and events Collaborate on ideas to grow the dance program and expand offerings Qualifications Proven experience teaching Salsa and/or Bachata in group settings Strong understanding of partner work, timing, and foundational techniques Confident leading classes and engaging students of varying skill levels Comfortable working in a startup-style, build-from-scratch environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills Self-motivated with an interest in growing classes and building a following Bonus Qualifications Experience teaching at events, socials, or pop-up dance activations Background in hosting or organizing dance nights or community events Existing following or ability to attract students Additional Information Flexible scheduling with emphasis on weekday classes Opportunities to lead weekend socials, ticketed events, and private bookings Growth potential as the dance program expands To Apply Please include your resume, along with any social media handles, performance clips, or examples of previous classes/events (if available).
