Job Description
Provide quality Pickleball instruction for the benefit of the participants of various age groups, abilities and skill levels. The days of work and hours will vary to meet program needs. Requires evening and weekend shifts. The salary range for this position is:
Instructor I:
$15.16- $18.51 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.Instructor II:
$15.76- $21.27 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. This opportunity will remain open until filled. This is a part-time position working less than 20 hours per week. Instructor I:
Properly instruct registered participants. Develop, oversee and implement lesson plans, participate in required training. Inspect program environment and equipment to ensure safety, handle emergencies according to established procedures. Complete administrative tasks such as skill assessment of participants, attendance sheets, class evaluations and class descriptions for brochures. Provide make-up sessions as required.Other Job Functions:

Instructor I:
Education:
Some course work in recreation, education, therapeutic recreation or related field preferred.Experience:
Must be a minimum of 16 years of age. Previous Pickleball experience, extensive previous participation in and sound knowledge of the activity required. Previous experience as an assistant instructor preferred.Certifications:
Must obtain First Aid and CPR certifications within 60 days of hire.Instructor II:
Education:
High School graduate or GED required. Course work in recreation, education, therapeutic recreation or related field preferred.Experience:
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age. 1 year experience coaching/teaching Pickleball required. Extensive previous participation in and sound knowledge of the activity required.Certifications:
Must obtain First Aid and CPR certifications within 60 days of hire.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficient knowledge of Pickleball. Strong verbal communication skills. Work with a diverse group of people effectively and diplomatically. Strong customer service skills . Handle difficult situations involving participants with patience, good judgment, and with diplomacy. Must demonstrate competent organizational and planning skills.Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
Frequent light to moderate physical effort that includes frequent standing or walking or maintaining arms and hands in the same position for repetitive tasks. Frequently works with light objects and light hand tools. Occasional exposure to hazards that are predictable or well protected against.
