We train dancers from PeeWee/Beginner levels through Advanced/Competitive levels and Adults, providing strong technical foundations while fostering confidence, discipline, and performance quality in a supportive yet driven environment. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and passionate Ballroom Instructor to teach Friday evening classes ranging from PeeWee/Beginner recreational levels through advanced competitive levels, as well as adult classes. The ideal candidate can challenge and push students of all ages to their fullest potential while maintaining a positive and structured, classroom atmosphere. This position will begin with our summer class session and continue into our full-year season. The instructor will work with recreational and competitive dancers building strong foundational skills and adult students looking to grow in technique, confidence, and enjoyment of ballroom dance. Key Responsibilities Teach ballroom classes on Friday evenings (PeeWee/Beginner through Advanced levels and Adults) Choreograph routines for recreational classes and adult showcase pieces as needed Teach proper technique, partnering skills, musicality, posture, and performance quality Push students of all ages to reach their fullest potential while maintaining a supportive and encouraging environment Provide structured progression in ballroom disciplines Offer constructive corrections and individualized feedback Maintain organized lesson plans that support technical growth and confidence Attend rehearsals, showcases, and studio events as required Uphold studio standards for professionalism, punctuality, and dress code Qualifications Strong background in ballroom dance (American and/or International styles preferred) Experience teaching children, teens, and adults Experience in a competitive dance studio setting preferred Strong choreography skills Ability to push dancers to grow technically and artistically Strong classroom management skills Organized, reliable, and team-oriented Preferred Experience Competitive ballroom experience Ability to mentor both recreational students and elite competitive dancers Background in Latin and Standard styles
