In this dynamic role, you will design engaging dance curricula, lead classes across various styles, and foster a positive learning environment that encourages creativity, discipline, and confidence. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help students develop their skills while enjoying the transformative power of dance. Responsibilities Develop comprehensive dance lesson plans tailored to different age groups and skill levels, incorporating techniques such as ballet, theater dance, and other styles. Lead engaging dance classes that motivate students, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all participants. Manage classroom dynamics effectively, utilizing behavior management strategies to maintain focus and respect among students. Provide constructive feedback to help students improve their technique and performance skills. Organize and oversee rehearsals for performances or showcases, encouraging teamwork and dedication. Collaborate with parents, guardians, or adult learners to track progress and address individual needs. Incorporate additional skills such as photography or sewing into creative projects or costume design when appropriate. Qualifications Proven experience in teaching dance, including curriculum development and lesson planning. Strong classroom management skills with the ability to work with children, preschoolers, or adult learners. Knowledge of various dance styles such as ballet, theater dance, or contemporary dance. Experience working with children in early childhood education or preschool settings is preferred. Familiarity with behavior management techniques and childhood development principles. Ability to adapt teaching methods for special education needs or learners requiring additional support. Additional skills in areas like culinary arts, sewing, or childcare are considered a plus but are not mandatory.
