Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking passionate and dedicated Dance and Tumbling Instructors to join our team. Do you have a strong background in ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, contemporary or tumbling? We are looking for individuals committed to developing strong technique and tumbling skills along with confidence in students of all ages. This role involves teaching dance technique, developing lesson plans, and inspiring students to express themselves through movement. The Dance Instructor will also collaborate with other staff members to create an engaging and supportive learning environment. Immediate openings for subs and regular schedules for summer and fall. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to different skill levels and age groups based on our studio curriculum. Teach various dance styles, ensuring proper technique and safety practices are followed. Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages student participation and growth. Organize and prepare students for performances, competitions, or showcases. Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their skills. Collaborate with other instructors on curriculum development and special projects. Maintain a clean and safe studio environment. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities. Skills Proficiency in one or more dance styles (e.g., ballet, jazz, hip-hop) or tumbling is essential. Strong communication skills with the ability to educate and inspire students. Experience in curriculum development for dance education is a plus. Knowledge of childhood development principles to effectively teach various age groups. Background in theater or performing arts can enhance teaching methods. Familiarity with special education practices is beneficial for inclusive teaching approaches.
