Job Description

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Lexington Senior Center is looking for Line Dancing Instructors! Do you have experience line dance classes? Do you enjoy working with Senior adults? We are taking interest forms for Independent Contractors to lead line dancing classes at the Lexington Senior Center! Rate of pay is $25.00 - $35.00 per hour based on experience Classes are scheduled Monday - Friday between 9am-4pm. (No benefits are included) Required experience includes: Ability to teach varying styles of line dancing and teach those styles in a group fitness setting with multiple adult students; experience working with adults over the age of 60 is preferred. Comprehensive General Liability Insurance Policy Subject to an audition prior to hiring CPR Certification must be obtained within 60 days of employment May be subject to a Criminal Record check Responsibilities may include: Instructs 50-minute classes for all fitness levels Creates classes that are organized with a motivating, exciting, high energy, safe, and welcoming environment Must arrive, well prepared, 10-15 minutes prior to class start time Playing music appropriate for the senior population Works well with choreography and/or freestyle classes Maintains a friendly, professional demeanor with all members and staff If you are interested in working as a contract line dancing instructor, please complete the interest form below and one of our staff will reach out to you with more details.
