Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
The Ballet Instructor prepares and teaches a ballet class.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
The employee in this position will have the following essential job functions: Instruct weekly classes to dancers ages 2-12 depending on the class level. Follow Bella Ballet curriculum teaching ballet appropriate to the class level. Enforce Health and Recreation Center policies and procedures when necessary. Attend trainings and meetings throughout the semester. Help with Rehearsal and Recital. Work a shift at Fall Festival. Performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.
EDUCATION
The person in this position should have a dance background either in performing or instructing.
EXPERIENCE
The person in this position should have experience in dance or performing arts as well as experience working with children.
SUPERVISION
The person in this position will supervise no one. The person in this position will report to the Ballet Coordinator.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The person in this position will work in the gym which sometimes can be noisy, hot or cool.
EQUIPMENT
The person in this position will use the following equipment: various dance equipment, speakers, microphone, and Planning Center.
