To Be Determined Job Description Duxbury Middle School is seeking advisors for the following co-curricular positions for the 2026-2027 school year: After School Sports (Grades 6-8), 2 advisors: lead students in sports and games after school outside (weather permitting) and in the DMS gym. Aquaculture Club (Grades 6-8), 2 advisors: Aquaculture Club is a hands-on experience that focuses around food. While learning about where food comes from, you will get to cook and taste a variety of treats. Additionally, the club partners with the Island Creek Oyster Foundation for several projects throughout the school year. Art Club (Grades 6-8), 1 advisor: Art club combines self - directed independent studio time in a variety of mediums and processes with an opportunity to collaborate on school enhancement and community projects. Dragon Tales Creative Writing Club (Grades 6-8), 2 advisors: This club encourages students to write, draw, and create stories. They create a digital literary magazine where students are encouraged to express themselves creatively. Drama Club (Grades 6-8), 3 advisors: This club encourages students to sing and dance on stage culminating in a musical production. One advisor is the director and one advisor is in charge of the music. Also, there is an advisor that helps students build stage pieces and paint backdrops. Games Club (Grades 6-8), 1 advisor: This club has students play some games including chess, jenga, telestrations, trivial pursuit, and more. Gender and Sexuality Alliance Club (Grades 6-8), 1 advisor: This club focuses on building community, making our school a safe and happy place for everyone. Global Citizens Club (Grades 6-8), 1 advisor: The club offers social, educational, and service activities that promote global competencies and helps promote cultural knowledge and awareness. Homework Club (Grades 6-8), 3 advisors: This club helps students study after school in the DMS library. Junior Jazz Band Ensemble (Grades 7-8), 1 advisor: Jazz Band is for students who play Trumpet, Trombone, Saxophone, Bass, Guitar, Piano or Drum set. Junior Jazz Club (Grade 6), 1 advisor: Jazz Club presents an exciting opportunity to explore a new style of music while expanding students' musicianship. Math Club (Grades 6-8), 1 advisor: Math Club is for students who love math, and want to expand their math potential. Respect All People RAP (Grades 6-8), 2 advisors: RAP is a club that helps students work toward making the world a better place by promoting openness and acceptance of difference through community service activities. Robotics Club (Grades 6-8), 2 advisors: Robotics is a club where students learn how to design, build, and program Robots! We will be working with the new Lego Spike Prime Robotic Sets. Students compete in virtual robotic challenges and competitions. Running Club (Grades 6-8), 2 advisors: The running club meets 1x/week and runs a predetermined route through town, working up to running a road race. Steel Band Ensemble (Grades 6-8), 1 advisor: The DMS Steel Drum Band is open to everyone, and no experience is necessary. Steel drums come from the Caribbean island of Trinidad, and their unique sounds have become popular all over the world. Student Council (Grades 6-8), 2 advisors: Student Council plans events that contribute to school spirit and community welfare, the student council lends our help to various school-wide service projects. Yearbook Club (Grades 6-8), 2 advisors: This club creates the DMS Yearbook. Students record important events, take photographs, and create pages to remember forever.
