In this role, you will lead engaging classes that foster a love for dance while developing students' technical skills, confidence, and artistic expression. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help cultivate a positive learning environment where students of all ages can thrive, learn new techniques, and enjoy the art of dance. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young dancers' lives while honing your teaching craft. Responsibilities Design and implement comprehensive jazz and tap dance curricula tailored to various skill levels, from beginner to advanced. Lead lively, well-structured dance classes that emphasize technique, rhythm, coordination, and performance skills. Foster a supportive classroom environment that encourages creativity, discipline, and self-expression among students. Manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring safety and engagement during all lessons. Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their technique and confidence in dance. Incorporate elements of theater, choreography, and musicality into lessons to enhance artistic development. Collaborate with parents, guardians, or school administrators to track student progress and address individual needs. Qualifications Proven experience in teaching jazz and tap dance styles with a strong understanding of technique and choreography. Knowledge of curriculum development tailored for children, teens, or adult learners in dance education. Classroom management skills that create an organized, positive learning environment. Experience working with children or adults in educational or performance settings. Familiarity with early childhood education principles or preschool experience is a plus. Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate creativity and technical skill development. Background in related areas such as ballet, theater arts, or musical performance is advantageous.
