Job Description

Lexington School of Ballet is seeking an experienced upper level ballet teacher for Pre-Professional and Upper Level ballet, pointe, and variations classes beginning in September 2026 for the school year and beyond. The classes are held on Monday from 4:15 p.m. - 7:45 p.m. or on Saturday from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Pay is competitive with major Boston ballet schools. Lexington School of Ballet is on a major bus line and has free parking behind the building. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience both as a dancer and as a teacher and have the ability to teach the classic major female variations to Pre-Professional dancers. Candidates seeking this position should be enthusiastic and positive, love to teach ballet, and enjoy nurturing young adults and passing their art form on to younger dancers. Teachers should also enjoy working in a mutually supportive teaching environment. The Lexington School of Ballet, Inc. was established to provide the highest quality ballet and jazz training available. An outstanding faculty of Boston's finest and most dedicated teachers have been assembled to ensure our students have every opportunity to achieve superior results in their ballet training. Whether students are pursuing a career in ballet, or studying for their own personal enrichment, the Lexington School of Ballet will encourage them to reach their fullest capacity as dancers. Our school's mission is to instill a respect for the traditions of ballet by introducing the principles of each step with order, progression, and increasing complexity. Students are encouraged to work diligently and cooperatively to develop their own creativity and individual artistry. $60.00 - $85.00 per hour
