Dance Instructor

We are hiring instructors for our figure skating dance program.

June 22 - August 23 and next year!

Schedule:

3-6 hours per week

Pay:

$50 per hour

Requirements:

Age 20-40 College students and dance teachers are welcome Background in skating Ability to teach figure skating off ice classes Ability to lead flexibility and strength training Responsibilities Design and implement comprehensive dance curricula tailored to different age groups and skill levels, incorporating elements like ballet and creative movement for ice skating training. Lead energetic and motivating dance classes that promote technical skill development, artistic expression, and physical fitness. Manage classroom behavior effectively to ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment for all students. Adapt lesson plans to meet the diverse needs of learners, including those in special education or early childhood education programs. Use photography and video techniques to document student progress and create promotional materials showcasing class activities. Provide constructive feedback to students to encourage improvement and boost confidence in their dancing abilities. Collaborate with parents, caregivers, or school staff to support student development and address individual needs. Experience Proven experience in teaching dance styles such as ballet or theater dance, with a strong background in choreography and lesson planning. Classroom management skills that foster a positive learning environment for children, preschoolers, or adult learners. Experience working with children or students with special needs, demonstrating patience and adaptability. Knowledge of childhood development principles relevant to early childhood education and preschool settings. Familiarity with curriculum development tailored for various age groups and skill levels in dance education. Additional skills in photography, sewing (for costume design), cooking (for event planning), or childcare are considered valuable assets. Prior experience in theater arts or performing arts education enhances your ability to inspire creativity through movement.
