Qualifications:
Teaching Certificate or relevant experience. Previous experience in color guard instruction. Experience in choreography and directing performances preferred. Proficiency in color guard equipment (flags, rifles, sabers) and dance. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to inspire and motivate students. Passion for performing arts education, creativity, patience, and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.Responsibilities & Duties:
Design and implement a comprehensive color guard program, including choreography, training, and performance strategy. Instruct students in flag, rifle, saber, and dance, providing both individual and group coaching to develop technique and performance quality. Plan and lead regular practices while preparing and directing students for performances, competitions, and community events. Create and teach routines that emphasize precision, creativity, and strong visual impact. Foster a positive, inclusive team environment that promotes participation, discipline, and teamwork. Communicate effectively with students, families, staff, and the community, and stay current with industry trends and professional development.Terms of Employment:
