Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a passionate Dance Instructor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate must have a love of children, and possess the ability and confidence to deliver an engaging curriculum for students of all ages. Responsibilities include traveling to dance locations, preparing for classes, teaching curriculum and developing a positive rapport with all students and school staff. Prior experience working with children, early childhood education, and classroom management skills are highly valued. Our classes are primarily held weekdays between 9am-11am. Additional afternoon or evening classes may be available in the future. Duties Reviews assigned curriculum and practices lesson plans prior to class. (no choreography creation involved in this position) Follows all Tippi Toes® curriculum, playlists and lesson plans. Manage classroom dynamics effectively, employing behavior management strategies to maintain a positive and productive learning environment. Comes to each class in proper dress code, and allows appropriate time for set up Teaches each class with enthusiasm and positivity that encourages student participation, interaction, and fun. Works with school directors to regularly add new students to current and future classes, maximizing enrollment levels. Maintain a safe classroom environment while promoting childhood development principles, early childhood education standards, and preschool experience best practices. Collaborates regularly with fellow Tippi Toes teachers. Daily/weekly communication with franchise owner and manager. Qualifications Performance background in dance, theatre, cheer, etc.
