Primarily weekday evening shifts, and Saturdays Join a caring, student-centered dance program as a Dance Instructor at Piedmont School of Music & Dance. As part of our dance faculty, you will teach a consistent weekly schedule of students and help them grow with confidence, technique, artistry, and joy. At PSMD, our dance teachers do more than teach classes. They help students develop strong technical foundations, build confidence through movement, prepare for meaningful performance opportunities, and experience the satisfaction of steady progress with a trusted instructor by their side. About the Role You will teach weekly dance classes to students of varying ages, skill levels, and goals. What You'll Do:
Teach Engaging Dance Classes You will teach weekly classes that are structured, encouraging, and tailored to students' ages, abilities, and goals. Classes should help students build strong technical foundations while keeping them motivated and excited to learn. Teach age-appropriate dance technique and movement fundamentals Develop students' coordination, musicality, flexibility, and performance skills Adapt instruction to varying learning styles and developmental stages Create a positive classroom experience where students feel capable and encouraged Support Long-Term Student Growth Because students attend classes each week, you will have the opportunity to guide their progress over time and build meaningful relationships with students and families. Help students develop confidence, discipline, and technical skill Prepare students for performances, recitals, and other studio events Keep students engaged through clear goals and thoughtful instruction Celebrate progress in ways that help students feel proud and motivated Communicate Professionally Clear communication helps families feel informed, supported, and confident in their child's progress. A consistent weekly schedule is expected. Student assignments are recurring. Compensation Competitive hourly compensation based on experience.
