Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance and or tumbling Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Tap, Acro/tumbling & ballet. You should also have the ability to inspire and educate students of all ages. As a Dance Instructor, you will play a crucial role in developing students' skills, confidence, and love for dance in a supportive and engaging environment. Please note we are a Christian dance studio, you don't have to be Christian to teach however we ask you respect the morals of the studio & you pray with your kids before or after each class. Duties Teach small size dance classes in acro/tumbling, tap & ballet Develop lesson plans that cater to different skill levels and age groups. Provide constructive feedback to students to enhance their technique and performance. Organize and lead rehearsals for performances and competitions. Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages creativity and self-expression. Manage classroom dynamics effectively, ensuring all students feel included and valued. Collaborate with other instructors to create interdisciplinary programs that may incorporate elements of theater or music. Stay updated on current dance trends and techniques to continuously improve teaching methods. Skills Proficient in multiple dance styles with a strong foundation in technique. Excellent communication skills to effectively educate and motivate students. Strong classroom management abilities to maintain an organized learning environment. Knowledge of childhood development principles to tailor teaching approaches for different age groups. Experience in tutoring or mentoring students in dance or related fields is a plus. Creative mindset with an appreciation for the arts, including photography or culinary arts as they relate to performance. Ability to engage with students through innovative teaching methods that incorporate elements of theater or storytelling. Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. Join us as we light the spark in the next generation of dancers!
