Kinderdance is on the lookout for passionate and dynamic individuals dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of children. As a developmental dance, gymnastics, yoga, and fitness program with over 40 years of experience, we are committed to providing engaging and high-energy programs to children ages 2-12.
Job Description:
We are seeking enthusiastic and charismatic instructors with a dance background and a genuine passion for working with children. While an educational background in kinesiology, early childhood education, recreation management, physical education, or personal training is helpful, it is not required. All instructors undergo extensive initial and ongoing training in our methodology and practices. Our intructors are trained and certified in our developmental program for children
Responsibilities:
Deliver Kinderdance programs to children ages 2-12 based on provided training and curriculum Increase program registrants and manage relationships with partners and staff members Enhance our reputation of excellence with partners Support the program director with communicative and administrative responsibilities Demonstrate consistency in eagerness, accountability, organization, and professionalism Requirements Prior to
Training:
1-2 years of teaching experience with kids ages 2-12 and large groups Strong communication skills (written and oral) Current physical (form will be provided) 3 professional reference letters from previous employers
Compensation:
Paid training (minimum of 25 hours) at $20 per hour Instructional pay ranging from $30 to $50 per hour
Considerations:
Program instructors will require NYC DOE and/or other fingerprints (we will help with this process) A full physical on NYC DOE documents CPR Training Sexual Harrasment certification Mandated reporter certification We will provide the trainings and support for all considerations How to
