Job Description

Life Design Student Ambassadors are curious, reflective and engaging student leaders who represent the Radbill Center for College & Life Design across campus in a variety of capacities. Ambassadors help BGSU students build community with one another and connections across campus as they apply Life Design ideas and tools that support their success. Ambassadors do this by sharing their own story of transition to and development at BGSU and how they apply Life Design concepts and resources as well as facilitating connections within and outside of the

classroom. The success of Life Design initiatives at BGSU depends upon the hard work, commitment and ability of Student Ambassadors to connect with and motivate BGSU students and one another.
Career Readiness Competencies :
Communication Critical Thinking Professionalism Leadership Teamwork In Fall semesters, each ambassador will be assigned to one or two Life Design Coaches who they will connect and collaborate with on a weekly basis to plan for the ambassador's involvement in the upcoming week(s) classes and the other tasks/projects they will be completing; this will include opportunities to lead activities/discussions throughout semester. course sections Participate in class activities, conversations and small group discussions Express enthusiasm for Life Design and application of ideas/tools (and assist students with ideation for group projects) Model curiosity in the classroom and encourage students to take action toward their goals Share college transition story/experiences and offer advice Serve as role model for students academically and socially Build community within and outside the assigned

sections Invite 1910 students to engage with campus events and Radbill Center activities Serve in student advisory role for Life Design at BGSU providing feedback and input on new developments and opportunities to ensure initiatives are meeting student needs Ambassadors work at least one shift at the Radbill Center Welcome Desk, greeting students and visitors, and responding to inquiries, while assisting with the organization of the space. They provide tours of our space, an overview of services/programs offered and assist with other duties during these shifts. Possible additional duties as assigned, including opportunities to assist with other Life Design projects such as: Radbill Center events and programs Promoting/facilitating workshops for the campus community Represent the Radbill Center and share experiences with Life Design at a variety of events, such as: student orientation, Admissions/Recruitment activities, alumni engagement events, Life Design co-curricular programs and workshops Be in good standing with the university and adhere to all university policies Have taken

other Life Design course experience and received an A or B in the course Be actively engaging in Life Design resources and/or programs - which can include meeting with a Life Design Coach Have a cumulative 2.5 GPA or higher at the time of application and maintain it throughout employment
