Job Overview
The Summer in the Arts Weaving Instructor will lead students in exploring the art of weaving through both structured and open-ended design. Students will create hanging tapestries, woven bags, and pouches while developing creativity, focus, and mindfulness. This course emphasizes artistic expression, confidence-building, and participation in a growing global craft movement. All skill levels are welcomed and encouraged.

Plan and deliver engaging, hands-on lessons aligned with course descriptions
Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment

Qualifications
Below are the minimum qualifications for this job. Equivalent combinations of education and experience are also acceptable.
Education
Must hold a valid Virginia teaching license endorsement in the assigned instructional course
