Job Description

Artistic Dance Academy is currently looking for a PT evening dance instructor to be versatile in jazz, ballet, tap, lyrical, and hip-hop for the 2025-2026 dance season.
Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and versatile Dance Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in teaching various dance styles to children and teenagers, with a focus on developing their technique, choreography skills, and love for dance. If you are enthusiastic, patient, and committed to creating a positive and engaging learning environment, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
Teach dance classes for students aged 3-17 years old in a variety of dance styles (e.g., ballet, jazz, hip-hop, tap, contemporary, etc.). Develop and implement creative, age-appropriate choreography that aligns with student skill levels and interests. Foster a fun, inclusive, and motivating classroom atmosphere that encourages growth and self-expression. Provide constructive feedback to students, helping them improve their technical skills and performance abilities. Ensure the safety and well-being of students during classes and activities. Work closely with parents to provide updates on student progress, upcoming events, and performances. Participate in recital preparations, including rehearsals and costume selections. Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities to continuously improve teaching methods and studio offerings. Maintain an organized and welcoming environment for students and parents.
Required Qualifications:
Strong background in dance with expertise in at least one or more of the following styles: ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, majorette, contemporary, or other relevant styles. Experience teaching children and teens in a dance studio or similar setting. Excellent choreography and performance skills. Ability to connect with children of all ages and foster a positive, supportive learning environment. Strong communication skills, with the ability to give clear and constructive feedback to students. Passion for teaching and inspiring young dancers. Reliability, professionalism, and a strong work ethic. CPR and First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
Preferred Qualifications:
College degree in Dance, Performing Arts, or a related field. Experience or performance groups or competition teams . Ability to teach multiple styles of dance or specialized classes (e.g., Ballet, lyrical, contemporary, tap, hip-hop, majorette etc.). Previous experience in dance recital and performance organization.
