In this dynamic role, you will develop engaging curricula, foster a positive learning environment, and nurture students' artistic growth. Whether working with children or teens you will bring enthusiasm, creativity, and professionalism to every class, helping students build confidence, coordination, and a love for dance. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact through movement and expression. Duties Design and implement comprehensive dance curricula tailored to various age groups and skill levels, incorporating styles such as ballet, creative movement and other styles. Lead engaging dance classes that promote technical skills, artistic expression, and physical fitness Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe, respectful, and motivating environment for all students Assist with performances or showcases to celebrate student achievements and foster community spirit Incorporate elements of choreography, and stage presence into lessons when appropriate Requirements Proven experience in teaching dance or related movement arts with classroom management skills Strong background in various dance styles such as ballet, improv dance, or contemporary forms Knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education, and instructional strategies for working with children with diverse age groups Ability to create engaging lesson plans that incorporate fundamentals of ballet, creative movement, and improvisation Experience working with children in preschool or early childhood settings is highly desirable Familiarity with behavior management techniques to maintain a positive classroom atmosphere Competency, genuine appreciation and passion for teaching dance at the preschool level is beneficial for working with young learners Strong communication skills to work effectively with students of all ages and backgrounds Join us in shaping confident dancers while fostering creativity and joy through movement!
