Job Description

Part-Time Dance Instructor - Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical & Preschool Dance RISE Dance is seeking warm, dependable, and engaging dance instructors to join our team for the 2026-2027 season. Located in Houston, Texas, RISE Dance serves students ages 3 through teen in a family-oriented environment that emphasizes confidence, character, creativity, and strong technical foundations. We are currently seeking instructors with experience teaching one or more of the following styles: Ballet Tap Jazz Lyrical Creative Movement Preschool Dance Combo Classes Available teaching opportunities may include students ranging from preschool age through middle and high school. What We're Looking For While strong dance training is important, we believe exceptional instructors do more than teach technique. The best instructors build relationships, create positive classroom environments, communicate well with families, and help students develop confidence both inside and outside the studio.
Successful candidates will be:
Dependable and professional Warm and encouraging with students Comfortable communicating with parents Team-oriented and collaborative Organized and punctual Passionate about helping young dancers grow Excited to contribute to a positive studio culture Teaching experience preferred Dance degree and/or professional performance experience welcomed but not required Strong classroom management skills Experience working with young children is a plus Ability to teach multiple styles is a plus Compensation $24-$35 per hour depending on experience, versatility, reliability, and teaching responsibilities. Additional paid opportunities may be available throughout the year, including: Summer camps Choreography opportunities Special events Performance productions Backstage production support For instructors interested in expanded involvement, additional opportunities may also include assisting with Nutcracker rehearsals, student performance productions, and other special programs. Schedule Afternoon and evening teaching opportunities available Monday through Thursday. Multiple teaching days may be available for the right candidate.
