As part of a national organization that serves over 4 million young people, we provide a safe and stimulating environment for children after school. Our mission is to empower youth through positive relationships and engaging programs that foster growth and development. Summary We are seeking dedicated Summer Camp Instructors to join our team at the Boys & Girls Club of McAllen. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a fun, safe, and educational environment for our youth members during camp sessions. Your contributions will play a vital role in enriching the lives of children and helping them develop essential skills. Responsibilities Plan and implement engaging camp activities that promote learning and fun. Supervise campers to ensure their safety and well-being at all times. Foster positive relationships with campers, encouraging their personal growth. Manage behavior effectively to maintain a supportive environment. Assist in organizing sports, arts, and educational programs. Provide guidance and support to campers in various activities. Communicate effectively with parents regarding camper progress and needs. Requirements Experience working with children or youth in an educational or recreational setting. Strong behavior management skills to create a positive camp environment. Knowledge of childhood development principles is preferred. First Aid certification is highly desirable. Ability to engage children through various activities such as sports or arts. Excellent communication skills to interact with campers, parents, and staff.
