This position focuses primarily on beginner Ballet and movement-based classes in a positive, supportive environment. Our program uses a guided curriculum, making it easy to teach while still allowing instructors to bring their own personality and creativity to each class. This is a great opportunity for college students, parents, or anyone seeking a flexible, part-time role working with children. What You'll Do Lead engaging, age-appropriate dance classes for young children (primarily ages 2-8), while fostering a positive learning environment. Teach basic Ballet technique along with creative movement and musical activities Follow a structured curriculum while keeping classes fun and interactive Encourage participation, confidence, and positive behavior in class Contribute to lesson planning and curriculum development to ensure a comprehensive educational experience for our students. Adapt activities to different skill levels and group dynamics Communicate professionally with staff and occasionally with parents Assist with simple performances, demos or end-of-session showcases Help maintain a safe and organized class environment What We're Looking For Experience working with children (teaching, childcare, camps, or similar) Basic dance background (Ballet preferred; other styles are a plus) Comfortable leading groups of young children independently Positive attitude, reliability, and strong communication skills Ability to stay active and engaged throughout classes Must be dependable and punctual Work hours can be as required, between 8:30 AM and no later than 5:30 PM.
