Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Dance Life Studio instructor, you will teach private lessons using our established syllabus, building genuine relationships with students and guiding them from their very first steps to showcase-ready performances. You are not just a teacher — you are a motivator, a mentor, and an ambassador for the joy of dance. This is a part-time position with strong potential for growth as our student roster expands. You will work in a warm, community-centered environment rooted in encouragement, faith, and excellence.

COUNTRY WESTERN SALSA BACHATA WALTZ FOXTROT CHA CHA RUMBA TANGO OTHER BALLROOM
Responsibilities Teach private dance lessons using the Dance Life Studio syllabus Specialize in Country Western, Salsa, and ballroom styles for students at all levels , mainly beginners Create a warm, encouraging atmosphere that keeps students excited and motivated Track student progress and adjust lesson plans to meet individual goals Prepare and coach students for participation in studio showcases and performances Present and sell dance packages to support student continuity and progression Build lasting relationships that turn first-time students into lifelong dancers Collaborate with studio leadership to uphold our culture of excellence and community
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Experience & Qualifications Experience in Country Western and Salsa dancing is strongly preferred; ballroom and Latin training is a plus Prior teaching or instructing experience in dance (any format) is valued Ability to work with students of varying ages, backgrounds, and skill levels Excellent interpersonal and communication skills — genuine warmth and enthusiasm for people Comfortable presenting and discussing lesson packages with prospective students Reliable, professional, and punctual with a strong sense of commitment Alignment with the studio's faith-centered, community-focused values Formal dance training or certification is a bonus, but passion and skill matter most
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
