Job Description

Thank you for your interest in employment with Southeastern Louisiana University. Southeastern Louisiana University's Office of Student Accessibility Services invites applications for the position of Assistant Director of Student Accessibility Services. The Assistant Director of Student Accessibility Services supports the mission of Southeastern Louisiana University by coordinating services that ensure equitable access for students with disabilities and overseeing the delivery of secure, inclusive, and efficient testing services. This position provides leadership in the implementation of accommodations, manages daily testing center operations, ensures institutional and legal compliance, and collaborates with faculty, staff, and students to foster an inclusive academic environment.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in Counseling, Education, Psychology, Higher Education Administration, or a related field by hire date. 3+ years of experience in disability services, student support, or testing services in an educational setting.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience managing a college/university testing center. Familiarity with assistive technology and learning management systems (e.g., Canvas). Experience using case management systems (e.g., Accommodate).
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES AND SKILLS
Knowledge of ADA, Section 504, FERPA, and other relevant laws and best practices. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in an environment that is fast-paced and evolving. Experience supervising staff or managing operations. Professional presentation experience. Experience effectively communicating and collaborating with other team members. Proven track record of working well with a team and promoting a positive workplace.
